In Texas he could have legally shot the crackhead right then and there.

I need to move to Texas.

I think that applies to most of the country, as long as they haven't banned guns there. IIRC, you live in California. That does suck.

In Ohio, you can shoot an intruder as long as they are in your house. Someone had an issue when they chased the guy out of their house, the guy then turned, and the homeowner shot. This is because they were out of the home. The morale of the story is that if that happens, drag them back inside :D :D :D

i don't see you need a pistol at home or semi/full-auto rifles. its cool and all but you cant use it to defend your self.
Well you can, but you are responsible if the bullet goes through the next 3 houses and hits someone making coffee. The answer: frangible ammunition (which is ridiculousness expensive). But, I don't know the laws in your country.

Over here if I catch a guy in my house at 3 am stealing my tv I am not allowed to shoot him (insert sarcastic tone here) nope we should ask the fellow to kindly put the tv back and wait for me to call the police

anyhow here is a true story for you guys: a guy who lives on a farm just outside the city notices that there are four guys braking into his workshop he calls the police and tell them to come immediately. The cop tell him that they can't come cause they do not have any vehicles available at the moment the guy hangs up.
five minutes later he calls again and tells the same cop he is going to shoot the robbers and the cop tells him no he is not allowed to and if he does they will arrest him.
He hangs up again and waits a few minutes again calls again and tells the police that he shot the guys and that they should just come fetch the bodies. supposedly it was just 10 minutes and the cops arrived with 4 cars and a helicopter catching the robbers in the act. afterwords the cop says I thought you said you shot the guys. the guy reply was something like I thought you did not have any vehicles available.

the government in this country is terribly corrupt and incidents like this just proves this

just to prove the stupidity of cops in this country I will attach a pic

Point was that in Texas they don't have to be in your house. Defending your car with lethal force is perfectly legal.

It only applies in states that adhere to the CASTLE DOCTRINE. http://www.protectedbythecastlelaw.com/

It's totally unnecessary to drag anyone anywhere in a "Castle Doctrine" state.

The lawyers told us that we only had to have a reasonable fear of death to justify any means of self defense lethal or otherwise Doesn't matter where you are at the time, Oklahoma's laws ain't to bad either. (He also said lethal was better so they couldn't bring charges against you.) I love the Right to carry laws, but I hate how long it takes to get the license in.
