I'd say that all you need is a 3 way switch (yes they are solutions to all of life problems :D ) and a couple diodes

or this -> http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to- ... -direction

i think that 3 way switch would have done it, if not i think we may need a bite more info in what your current set up is and what you are trying to achieve

SPDT = single pole dual throw = 3 way. :wink:

Yeh, you need a 3+ way switch. Well there actually called intermediate switches.

You're so into 3-ways certain things are hardly surprising :D

Actualy to swap + and - to the motor a Double Pole swith is used. A Center OFF switch can be used for forward, stop, reverse. A Momentary ON can be used so you have to hold the switch to run the motor.

Google search Reversing Switch.

A 3 way switch for one end of a 3 way circuit switches only one pole. A middle 3 way switch that goes between two regular 3 way switches can be used as a reversing switch.

Like tech said, all you need is a generic DPDT throw. Figure $2 from radioshack.

lol my drivers side window switch panel went out and I didnt want to pay $80 to put my window up and down so i used a DPDT switch. i think it works better now.
