rifling in other projectiles

i have seen the data on rifled potato barrels. does anyone know how much if any increase in accuracy there is for other projectiles that would conform less to the barrel. example, can rifling spin a golf ball, tennis ball, or soda can? as long as it rides over it i could kind of see this going either way.

sorry if someone has asked this.

Well you would need a soft projectile and the next best non organic material ideal for a projectile would be lead or some soft plastic.

The grooves need to be wide and rather sharp if you want any real increase in accuracy. For general spudding purpose, unless you have a rifling machine, your best bet is a dart of sorts.

Rifling a barrel makes nerf dart fly straight, and not fishtail at all.
even with 300 psi in a 1/4'' QEV.

Ever seen a nerf dart punch through carpet?
Im almost there.

Will rifling make a dry clay projectile spin? Or shold i shoot ( if i ever do ) clay projectiles when they are not completly dry ?
