I think it is cool that you are writing an essay about spudguns. I have a friend that for english class wrote an essay about Chevy Corvairs and why they were considered dangerous, he also included information about Ralph Nader's book unsafe at any speed.

Uummm...that you have the immaturity to actually bring a "mini" to school in the first place doesn't bode well for your judgement in the area...IMO.

In the USA that "mini" is going to be classified as a "zap gun" if the inspectors are doing their jobs properly. On that note, WELCOME TO YOUR EXPULSION!!!! 0 tolerance policy you know...

For a paper it should pose no problem. School are generally lenient towards research topics as long as theres an academic connection, which in this one there is.

I would simply emphasize the idea that the adherence to the safety practices of dealing with launchers is a big part of it. Even dress it up to the point of saying that it's a good learning experience (which it is...).

However the fact that you brought a mini to your school reveals an unawareness of the current zero tolerance policy, as jrrdw has so eloquently phrased, and an overall lack of caution towards your surroundings. Just be careful, ok?

They seach your lockers to make sure that they are clean? At our school they just have dogs come in to look for drugs.

That is what they used to do at my school but they are being sued by the ACLU for invasion of privacy or some nonsense like that.
Edit: We are getting a little off topic. How is the paper going?
