Not strictly related to spudguns but since many builders here make the effort to produce launchers which are not only ergonomic but look good, I think you will appreciate this website - it shows one can be creative and come up with something looking extremely sexy in its own right, without actually copying an existing "real steel" weapon.

I particularly like the Thor A1 virtual PDW, yummy!

The Thor A1 link is not dail up friendly, jrrdw :wink:

Pretty neat, even if reading through some of it I cringe at some of the "physics" listed.

Have to agree that the Thor is the best design there though.

I love the picture at the bottom of the Thor page, it looks like a FPV of dual-wielding.

Thor actually seems possible, too.

JSR, did you find that link on the Firearm Blog, because I was just on Pascal's page before I saw this thread! I agree, some of the physics are questionable, not so much for the Thor, but the Epic A1 seems a little too sci-fi. However, a solenoid barrel may be possible in the future, especially considering that magnetic fields are being used in the way described to contain nuclear fusion experiments. The "engine" thing is doubtful, however.

Boy, that C-Mag sure would be awesome!

Well, you have to allow for some artistic license ;)

the Epic A1 is like the alien guns from Halo when it over heats the flaps open

I can see a grip from the Kriss super V, slide from a Beretta 92, HK33 magazine, HK G36 sight, Galil folding stock, and is that an inverted AK barrel and gas piston?

Pretty much. And now you know why I got fired from that military R&D job.

EDIT: Oh yeah, one note... it's not called the "Super V" - that's the name for the mechanism. The actual firearm is called the TDI Vector.

I noticed this a while back on the firearm blog. I think mine clearly wins.

@Spudtyrrant: Oh, come on, that looks vaguely sensible. You're not playing this game properly. :tongue3:

@kjjohn: Nato 5.56mm with a muzzle velocity of about 800-1000 m/s, means that for the bullets to be only about 6 or 7 cm apart would mean a rate of fire of about ~800,000 rounds a minute.
Yes, this is ridiculous, although to really qualify, you need to make it less obscure.

@irisher: Good entry.
