Whats the best way to position a fan in spud guns to get the best feul mixture?

Btw Im new here:P Made a POS spud gun a year back and it exploded =/
thinkin of trying out for a good one this time.

what feuls do you guys suggest? I own a pocketbike site/store so I have little nitrous bottels and co2 bottels.

what was the POS made of ? you position it in the back where you screw on and off the end cap to pull the exuast gasses out of the chamber and mix fuels. and dont use nitous because when you mix it with your fuel it will go boom and you wil be exploded. Use metered propane, hair spray, deoderants and other stuff people tell you to use

I used PVC pipe with the one that went boom and pieces went everywhere!

how did you live?! i use white rain hair spray in my big combustion. it works good and launches spuds 250 yards easy. some people use axe but thats ways to expensive for me. metered propane is one of the best fuels and probably the most reliable source of fuel. was the cannon all sch. 40 or higher and dont tell me you where actualy USING the nitrous. With those CO2 tanks you should use them in a pneumatic cannon. they are much stronger than combustions

No i wasnt useing nos then. I was using hair spray that was bought for me for my fro I used to have. I dont use hairspray... so i decided to burn it in a patato gun. we had a few little test fires then we did the final shot (it was inbetween 2 houses with brick walls) and BOOM it exploded and the noise echoed(excuse my spelling) inbetween the two walls. it was hela loud.

where either one of you hurt when it exploded. ive never heard of one actualy exploding cause most of the time the end cap comes off. what where the specs for your gun. i have a 4in diameter 1 ft long chamber to a 5 ft long 1 1/4 in barrel. very basic

one piece of the pvc pipe was sitting outside for about a year so that could of weekened it. I singed my hair on my arm but we all got outa there pretty fast, screaming

haha your cannon exploded . this is why you research the safety requirements before you go building a dangerous weapon, although like you i've had similar things happen. for example, once i opened the end cap because the cannon wasn't working, then my friend bumped the igniter, and i had a fireball launch into my face, my friends were laughing their @$$'s off, but singed hair isn't fun when your parents find out . anyways, be careful with future cannons. try the metered propane, it works great

Im going to make a modded n00b one. u know the kind everyone starts out with. but im going to put a fan in it and i got some other things up my sleeves. I might post a pic but i saw one guy got his ass kicked on these forums when he posted the n00bcannon.
