It was my thread that Gun Freak posted on. I just grabbed the spring with needle nose pliers and then used a screw driver and a hammer to knock the little thing out. Mine didn't unscrew either. hope this helps

That little check valve thing is very big on yours JSR. Mine was a tiny little cup sort of thing

I don't know if this counts as a double post but...
I'm looking for a pilot valve for a co-axial rocket launcher and was wondering if
this one would pilot a 45g piston?

How big is the pilot volume, what diameter is the piston and more importantly, how good is the fit of the piston in the tube its travelling in?

Diameter- 52mm
Pilot volume- I don't know, it's 70x53 cylinder and on a calculator it came up 148660???
Which leaves a gap of 0.5mm around the piston

More precisely, 0.825cm<sup>2</sup> of area for air to flow from the main chamber to the pilot.
That's more than can flow through a 1cm diameter tube.
Short answer - no.

Can be solved with an o-ring or insulating tape
so the pilot volume's ok?
