Good choice. Pneumatically actuated valves open loads faster and look better and are actually cheaper, depending on where you get the parts.
All you need is a blowgun and a male coupler, while with the electrically opened valves you need three 9V batteries, the wires, the switches, and a place to put all that stuff.

Wow I never thought of that...

Electric:
-(3) 9v about $3 each
-(3) 9v batter clips if you don't ghetto it, $2 each
-(1) Switch about $3

about $17

Pneumatic:
-Blowgun about $6
-(2) 3/8" Hose clamps about $0.70 each
-(2) 3/8" hose barbs to 1/4" MIPS $1.19
-3/8" hose - ??? free for me

about $10 without hose

i ended up making a pneumatic with a ball valve, because i got to home depot and had no clue if i was getting the right stuff. ill have to go with someone that knows what to buy on my next one. by the way, i pumped my gun upto 100 psi and it shoots beautifully. i made it to shoot nerf darts for around the office, but i have recently found myself shooting AA batterys, as they fit perfectly in my 1/2" barrel. i will get some videos of me shooting stuff and the pictures of it.

P.S. - i also have videos of my gun shooting nerf bullets at 40 psi at people in the office, and the aftermath of their bruises and whatnot. ill be sure to get those up asap.

thanks for the help on the sprinkler valve, even though i didnt use it, i like the knowledge for later use.
