Rifle Valve

In this concept, the bolt and valve are combined. When the trigger is pulled the sear releases the bolt and the spring pushes the bolt into the chamber, the bolt has a hole in the end in which the air goes through when the bolt enters the chamber. The bolt is actually the entire barrel which slides back and forth in a sleeve, the sleeve is attached to the tee and chamber. There might be a way to make this at least semi-auto.

Not bad,I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Would this not work for a full auto?

It would be a good Semi-Auto but since it has the spring in it as soon as he releases the Sear the spring will go back and let the ammo shoot, but some how he will have to push it foward after everyshot to re-engage the sear so the gun can start to fill again... So it won't even be true semi unless he has something to automatically push the bolt foward again....

Very good theory though... If modded it will work....

Maybe I could add a pneumatic cyllinder or something to the side and make a way for it to automatically move.

Idea: Have the air input in the back, attach a rod to the bolt, and put a piston in the tube where the air comes in, once the gun starts to fill again it would have to push the piston out of the way which would move the bolt forward. Basically, attach the bolt to a check valve in the back.

This design would work for a normal bolt-action rifle.
