gas station air compressure

would the air compressure at the gas stations work on my gun? and what is the psi on those gas station air compressures?

what are you going to do. sit out in front of the gas station and shoot cars as they go by. the max pressure at the gas station by my house is 90 psi.

the one at my gas station is 150.
i think he meant storing air from a gas station in an air tank spudstuff.
roughboy, unless you live next door to the gas station, you should make some money and buy a cheap 2 gallon compressor at home depot.

And how much are they? I have two compressors, one pumps to 250, the other to 200, but they are both crappy little emergency 12V ones

I would go to Home Depot or Lowes or even Wal-Mart and get a good 120V compressor I know at Home Depot they start at $59.99 for a 4 gal.
Also don't even waste your time with the 12V car “compressors” that say they can do 250psi I've broken three trying to get past 60psi and 60psi took over 15 minutes

most likely the reason why it broke was they are only supposed to be used for short 5-10 minute durations, same happened to me and then I read the label on the compressor. And I also did the same and upgraded to a 3 gallon compressor.

Ya, thats exactly why they broke. I only used them when I was away from my shop.

I've only used them a couple times. The first time I got it to 140 no problem. 
Neither has died yet but mainly I just use my bike pump for my launchers.

use dry ice you canget over 900psi with that but thats still kind of weak, nitroglicerin or trinitrotelene usely due the trick of 1.4 million psi ,you can shoot thing through 3 inch steel without a barrlel. jk dont do that, mabey a super cooled rail gun is the way to go.

Every time i go past the bike section at my local Walmart, i see these new bike pumps. They are 2 1/2" in diameter, old one's i'm used to 1 1/2" in diameter. Looks like you can bust ass with the new one's!

Mine is lke 1" diameter and like maybe 2 feet tall. After a couple years pumping, those triceps are just boom.

If they are that large in diameter, you areg youg to have problems getting very much pressure; they have an area of probably ~4.5 in^2, so a 150 pound person might be able to generate 40 psi with them, 60 if they really go at it.
Enough for a bike tire, sure, but kindof weak for our purposes.
