Soundmuffler for full auto combustion.Need input..

I was kinda hoping you guys could help me out.

I need a muffler that fits inside of a 42mm pipe.
It needs to be heat resistant, as it will be exposed to approxx 3000 ignitions per minute.

My full auto combustion would be too loud without it.

It's powered by gasoline and doesn't actually fire anything..

:D

In other words..I want to build a muffler into a dragpipe style exhaust for my bobber bike. ( wich I recently hardtailed myself BTW)
I want it to look like "open" straight pipe with a slashcut/ turnout at the tip.
Without the noise of a baffle-less loudpipe...

The fat fiberglass stuffed superbike exhaustmuffler design is not what I want,

Can you help me to design an effective "hidded" muffler?
I got a few designs in my head but nothing brilliant so far..

I know what you're thinking but combustion mufflers are spudgun related!

:D

That got me thinking..

Add a pop-off and QEV combo type set up to the head of a 4stroke engine and handcrank it into the ignition stroke...
Then fire using a regular spudgun type ignition through the sparkplug??

You'd need to lock the crankshaft in position fits offcourse...
But that would take care of fueling up and venting and all that...wouldn't it.

Use a washer of what ever size center hole for the tone you want placed in between the pipe and exhaust port. There normally is a space just big enough to place one in there. Just make sure the out side diameter fits snugly in the port so that the pipe flange holds it tight. Scrap the carbon away so you can see what I'm referring to.

It's not about the tone...it's about decibels...

Your going to need some type of flow chocking baffle if you insist on the drag pipe configuration. Try a cage made of 1/4" rat wire with a few layers of large hole wire screen. Keeping it in the pipe will be the hard part. Small screw in the back side???

Your asking for a tall order to fill. L0L I'm sure there is a way. The longer the pipe the quieter it will be. Question there is how long are/would you want/need to accomplish what your after...

Thank you for your effort.
The pipe will be quite short actually....

I think I have found the solution.
I cut apart a very effective muffler and found that inside the gasses get split and then rerouted to cancel each other out.
perfectly doable with a few baffles and bits of pipe...

The small volume will cause it to be louder than the one I cut up but it will porobably fit my needs.

A series of stacked basket diffusers?
