I finished building my propane meter, it seems to work and i set my regulator to 60 psi. My question is, when i release the propane from the meter pipe area, should it seem like more then just a quiet pop or air? or is this correct. All i hear when i open it is a small noise and thats it.

If your using the 6" of 1/2" pipe and your chamber is about 180 ci you should be using more like 73 psi for your gun... (If your using it on the gun you told me about)

Since it's just a tiny bit of propane (about 6ci) and it's going to a sealed area (your chamber) it should be just a little bit of flow, so it's probably working fine...

Have you shot your gun yet?

Tell me how it shoots when you do... Well that's if you survive the blow

kk yea thats what it sounds like a puff of air, and no frogy i didnt aquire the pipes i need yet to build it. I have to make a home depo and paint store run before i can start construction. I was using it in open air, not in a chamber.

By the way, whoever said that the polyethylene hosing wasnt pressure rated, it works fine.

P.S it took me like a half hour to thread the propane valve with a die. I never used a tap and die set before, i borrowed it from a friend. I couldnt get it to fit onto the torch head until i used a dremel and grinder on the tip for a cone shape to fit in the die, and pushed down super hard >.<
