You could use reducers to get down to the size you can find good encaps for.

Yes, it will work.

Although I must say your not looking hard enough. I couldnt imangine a store in your town not selling them. Most likely youve tryed the yellow pages, but incase you havent, try. Also you said you got a job in construction, next time you see a plumber just tell them you need to buy pressure rated fittings for your "pool" and you cant seem to find anywhere.

You dont have to lie, but from experience it saves you a lot of time and explaining. Like the time at Radio Shack... I accidently called the CPU fans "chamber fans" and he was asking what it was for. I was just like "nothing", then finally lulled me into telling him what the project box and fan were for. Making a long story short, he thought I was going to make the chamber out of the project box... "I dont think these things are pressure rated"

"Hey you dumbass, how did you get a job at this store in the first place?"~Me lol

lol i have a supplier, blackman plumbing on long island. They are just currently out of stock on the 4" caps, they had all the couplings and reducers, just not caps. They had 2" caps but that was it because plumbers generally do not cap off ends, therefore its not a heavily stocked item such as elbows bow example. So to save time, i wanna order it. Also i work every day, so i cant get out there cause plumbing supply is only from 8-5 or something.

Heh heh. I can walk to the feed store near my house in 10 minutes tops and they've got all kinds of junk, included pressure rated 4" threaded plugs, though they're a little expensive, (10$).

No place around here seems to sell SCH-80 pipe, only SCH-80 fittings, which is really pretty pointless.
