How To: Ghetto Rigged Dart.
NOTE: This dart could probably only be used in 1/4" or 3/8" barrels, and I WOULD NOT recommend shooting it at anyone. However, it is fun for target practice.
Also, I'm not sure if this has already been posted, if it has, my bad. My friends brother makes these for his blowgun.
And now it's time to McGyver it up.
MATERIALS:
<table>
<td>
Cigarette Filter
<img src="http://www1.istockphoto.com/file_thumbv ... "></td><td>
Pencil Eraser
<img src="http://www.newfoundlandphotography.com/ ... "></td><td>
Sewing needle
<img src="http://us.inmagine.com/168nwm/dynamicgr ... td></table>
BEFORE YOU BEGIN: take the pencil eraser ( attached to the metal part ) off of the wooden part of the pencil. Also, take all the paper off the cigarette filter so u only have the fluffly part.
STEP ONE: push the needle through the pencil eraser like so:
pink part | metal part
<----------- needle
STEP TWO: line the inside of the metal part of the eraser w/ any kind of glue, and push the filter into it like so:
<---------FILTER
STEP THREE: fan the filter out so it looks more like a dart.
<---------<<<
Voila, you have a pretty easy and cheap dart.
P.S. - I would've had more pics but my camera is broken so all the pictures on here are from google
EDIT: Someone move this to the How-To section plz, I didnt know there was an unofficial one.

I'm pretty sure that he uses "used" cigarettes (nasty!)
Also you don't really need the pencil eraser.
I haven't done this myself but I know people who like to make ghetto blowguns/ammo.

Is your Google.com Broken?!
Just work with used cigarettes they are harmless to handle. (unless you have open wounds on your hands)
Also, this would fit much better in 1/8 inch brass pipe. I have shot both pencil erasers and cigarette filters (separately) through a 1/8 inch brass pipe. The trick is that the metal part of the eraser usually does not fit. That means that you would have to either superglue the parts together or use a 3/8 inch brass pipe. If you can find one.

Uhh... Yeah ya do... That's what is giving the dart its mass. The cigarette gives the eraser stability.carlbelcher wrote:Also you don't really need the pencil eraser.
