The piston is in the forward position in the diagram. When the piston is in the back position, a BB falls in front of it, and the air passage is blocked. When the piston moves forward, the magazine is blocked, and the air passage is connected, so the BB is pushed out of the barrel. The piston is moved via a pneumatic ram system much like the one on an Auto[male reproductive organs]er paintball gun. I'm really excited about this, and I'm DEFINETLY going to make it unless anyone here finds any major flaws in this idea.

By the looks of the valve, it looks like a miniature paintball gun, just using BB's instead of Paint, not bad. although your drawings are inaccurate, the air would have a route of escape no matter where the bolt is. good idea tho.

ehm... if u tak a close look at the part under the hopper (loading mech) you can see that the air would just come out becaus there is nog problem to getting out. and olso when u push the trigger the air wil push the piston-the piston moves to the left of the picture-the ball wouldnt shoot becaus the piston will block his way. i will make a pic how it will work and add it hir

can some one plz explain this in more detal. id realy like to build it but not sure on how the bolt actually slides back and fire's the bb

This is more complicated than you think. It might require a lathe. If you want to build a bbmg, then try looking at building a cloud gun.

i have a lathe, and on skool we have them so it isn't so dificult for me.

how it works

when you pull the triger backwards the air pass the valve(home made) and follows #1, then when it reaches the gun the air would let the piston back and the air can pass the piston. bb will not pass the piston when it is in rest position.

From your drawing, I don't think that anything will happen, the piston has an equal surface area on the two opposite sides that are being pushed on by the air, so the forces will cancel out. At least thats what I can see from your drawing, assuming that whereever two pieces touch it is a perfect seal.

wat about bolt action guys. just a rough sketch any mods ideas? let us no

The problem with a bolt is that it cause it to not be semi auto. And also do you plan on having a constant flow of air out the barrel?

na just attaching a blowgun to the end of the barrel and give it a sqirt. iv made a bbmg and now want a single shot but dont want to have to put a bb down the barrel every time.

i made a gun very similar to the one you are tring to make, it was a complete failure only because the bbs (airsoft) wouldnt stay in the barrel they rolled out . if ur gonna use metal bbs make sure you have a magnet or something to hold them in place.
