does anyone know of a product to coat your barrel with to reduce friction while still allowing the potato to hold back the pressure...? would pam work? lol

For the sake of discussion, let's assume that the sliding friction in a 2" barrel is 1 pound.
In a combustion, average forwards force is around 30psi - 90 pounds - IIRC.

So, we are talking about 1% potential energy gain. That's about .5% potential velocity gain.

You get that much gain by making the barrel .5" longer... if you see my point.

i see your point, so are you saying if you used anti-barrel-friction(this product does not exist to my knowledge)everytime you shot this anti friction crap would have the same effect as if you made the barrel 1/2" longer?so you might as well make your barrel 1/2" longer then using some anti friction crap.
