i have already posted this on the spudshot forums. me and my friend were bored one day so we decided to build a spudgun. i said i had an old combustion cannon out the back and we didnt need to build one. the gun hadnt been used for four years and it was made out of dwv parts. we loaded it with a pillcan filled with rocks. we sprayed in 10 seconds of high propane deoderant and i was the unlucky one that had to pull the trigger. boom. next thing i no im on the ground, bleeding and had to get two peices of shrapnel out of my leg. i couldnt walk for almost 3 months and my friend also caught a peice in his left pinkie. the ammo didnt shoot but all in all id say i learned my lesson. dont use old dwv combustions.

By DWV I assume you actually mean thinwall DWV and not sch 40 DWV. Sch 40 should be fine.

We dont have classed DWV pipe it's all thin walled shit. I have and old DWV combustion and i drilled alot of hiles in it so no one would ever use it and cut the barrel in half and have it on my bed side table as a monument to the spudcannon.

That's the reason it blew on you dude. Thinwall should NEVER be used for these. It sucks that you had to learn the hard way though.
