yes, thats all it does, its just like a non-electric solinoid, thats what i was unsure of too, but if u look at a rainbird sprinkler valve, there's a little black thing on the top, thats a manual bleed valve to actuate the diaphram, so basicaly thats what the blowgun does, justs moves the manual bleed valve.

oh and also how do i install the pressure gauge and schradner valve? will it be obvious when i get the parts?

dont use glue on threds, use teflon tape, that way if u mess up it isnt permanent, only use glue on smooth pieces, always use teflon tape on threads.

yes the schrader and presseure gauge are very easy to put on, just tap the right size hole, put teflon on the threads and screw them in. nice and easy.

OH SHIT! i tried to mod my sprinkler valve but i thnk i might have fucked it!  :(

i followed the instructions in the how to but they didn't work. my valve has a guide rod in the center and it's a little bent. the main problem i have is understanding how a modded valve works.

what exactly is the hole with the blowgun handle meant to do?

PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!!

ok, do u know how a diaphram works??, well if u do the blowgun hole is the what lets the top air out raising the diaphram letting air in, basically exactly what a solinoid does, and with the guild rod, have u already drilled a hole?

yes i drilled a hole but i didn't know if the blowgun was meant to pull air out or what, so i just put it on. nevermind now though, i'm getting a new valve after school today and will power it electrically. to that i just have to hook up the switches, batteries and valve, right? thanks

well, its all finished now. i used a Garden Mate 25mm solenoid valve. two 9v batteries power it and it does the job fine. at 60 psi it fires powerful as hell :D . but yes, at lower pressure (30-40 psi) it does act slow, letting out qa little bit before actually firing.
thanks for all the help mate! :D
