I'm planing on making a multi-barreled combustion. (3 barrels)
To ignite it, I will have 3 capacitors. I will charge them, then discharge one per barrel. A bit like having three cannons wired to one trigger.

However, I don't want them all to shoot at once, I want them to shoot sequentially - preferably once per pull.

I really don't have much of an idea how to do this. I'd like help thinking up a 'semi-auto' wiring method. Current ideas include having 3 triggers, modding a cap-gun, and having each shot at a certain trigger depression.
But I'd really like to avoid a bothersome multi-stage trigger or having 3 triggers.

wow, ive tought about that for like an hour, but with my limited knowledge on electrical wiring the best i could come up with is three different triggers the other way i thought of was to buy a three way switch and a momentary pucj button. the capacitors are wired to the 3 way slide switch and to the push button. so you move the slide to one of the three barrels and push the button, then move it to one of the other 2. i am not sure that will worrk, and as i think aobut it i dont think that the slide switched opretate in this manner, however the sliding switch could be substituted for 3 toggle switches. in this way you could select to fire all three cannons, a combination of two, or just one. this will also not take up much room and could easily be neatly hidden in the leg of a Y connector. i hope this helps, i myself would go for the toggle switch idea. all positive ends of capacitors or grill lighters are wired to the push switch, and the negatives to the respective toggle switch then onto the opposite terminal on the puch switch, mabye for safety add two push buttons so you must depress both to fire to kee paccidents at a minimum. mabye someone with more experience with electricity could detail this circuit for you.

This could be achived with a pressure sensitive switch, were you press to fire on shot, pull a bit harder for the second, and then harder yet for the third. Look up some basic guides on electronics. You should be able to wire it prety easily.

If it came down to "toggle switch secector/multiple triggers/variable pressure switch" I'd chose 3 bottons in a vertical arangment.

However, I'v come up with a possible option: have the firing of each barrel deselect that barrel, and select the next, using pressure activated piston-switches. This system could be manualy side-stepped in the case of a no-fire.

Just one question: approximatly how often (percent of the attemps) do varius (BBQ, camera flash, stun gun, flint wheel) ignition systems ignite a proper propane/air mix?
