Hey everyone, I just recently completed my first spud cannon, it has a 3' by 14' chamber and a 2' by 36' barrel, I installed a fan and a spark jump using a circuit board. It fires GREAT but the only thing is it makes a ralle loud bang when it fires, I told this to my freind and he said I should build a silencer for it, i know it sounds crazy but is there actually a way you can make silencers for my kind of cannon?

a barrell extension also makes it quieter and stronger and more acurate

well, in order for it to make it more accurate u would need a "extension" that actually extends the barrel. but this "extesion" just slides over an already existing barrel so it wont improve accurace i dont think. but it will make it quieter.

its not a silencer (since they're illegal and would require a 200 dollar tax stamp) its an "extension"

I have made barrel extensions and they are just as quiet as silencers. For your barrel extension use wall isulation for the filling it works very well if you leave it the same density as it comes in the rolls(dont squash it down with tape) then lighty wrap tape around it.
