I was just wondering.... Would it be ok to use an electric livestock prod for an ignition? I have played with them a lot and I know they give a good charge(they hurt a little)

it has to have more power then a bbq ignitor so i dont see why it would, it'd be like a stungun only for animals, should work

they only hurt a little? I thought cattle prods were supposed to deliver lots of pain, to give the animal a REASON to move it. you must eat alot of cheese, they say cheese raises your pain tolerances...

cattle prod is the same thing as a stun gun, except more powerful, right?
it should work, i suppose
good idea

I think its less powerful then a stun gun. Google them and check the voltage rating.

either way makes sence..
but wouldnt it be more economic (cheep) to just use a bbq ignitor.. and work just as good.. dunno?

I think Im quoting boogieman when I say this but when consider that a BBQ sparker is 12-15$ and a cheap stungun can be bought for 18$ (including shipping). For a few extra bucksyou can have a way more powerful spark but there is nothing wrong with a BBQ sparker. In fact I just bought a stungun 2 weeks ago. My combustion (CS-X) has a BBQ sparker installed in it and has lasted easy around 500 shots and is still going strong. There are three things I would consider when buying a stungun off ebay: do I want to wait for the shipping time?, will I shock my self once I by buy once?, Is it legal where I live to own a stungun?. BQQ are (is this a new slang word for cheap) "cheep" but you have to consider that for a few dollars more you can buy a stungun.
