Does anyone know a easy to use program for making potato gun plans? I've been looking and can't seem to find one. I would like to design a new cannon and be able to look at it before i build it. Thanks

I agree with c19o.You can always draw it, then scan it into your computer to post here.

I use Visio 2003 in the Mechanical Drawing mode. It will only do 2D drawings, but they're definitely good enough for designing spudguns :-p

Peace,

I use MS Paint for drawing valves, ammo, or stuff that needs intricate detail, razor straight lines, moosecakes, whatever.
Everything else is drawn on paper, usally in math class. When using paper, make sure to imagine every angle; trust me, things can turn out pretty bad if you don't.

I would advise to simply sketch it on paper first, then make up something using MS Paint or a 2D CAD program which will work much better. If you want to visualize your gun In 3D you could use Rhino or some other 3D CAD program, its great for just making a rough model of your gun or for making an intricate 3D model.

I use macromedia fireworks.... I would not have it any other way!

As far as 3d... Autodesk Inventor.

i use either AutoCAD 2007 or Inventor 11.

Both are tricky to get the hang of, but they're fantastic to get a visual look of your spud gun
