I'm a noob so don't poke fun at this question. What type of sprinkler valve should I get and how can I modify for use without electronics. is this possible to replace a ball valve?? If not, I need some ideas to replace a ball valve but keep THIS CANNON simple. the main problem is that the 1/4 ball valve I have on there right now is restricting the air flow. i need a system that quickly releases air.

Any normal inline sprinkler valve should be ok. People usually go by ones made by Orbit, Hunter, or Rainbird.

So to use the one from BC arms, i dont need to put in a piston? it can directly replace a ball valve?

yes, you will need to go from the 1/4 inch fitting you have to 1'' for the valve though.

edit, no you dont need a piston, it uses a diaphram and that had already been done for you, all you need to do is screw it in.

if u cant get ur hands on a premodded valve, just go buy one and mod it urself. its extremely easy: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=305&

the parts will cost around the same anyway. minus postage.

Im not sure your aware of this, but theres alot of dead space on that cannon. If i where you i would remove the ball valve and then direct attach the rest of the gun to the chamber. Then i would cut the barrel close to where the "stock" begins and put the sprinkler valve there.
If all of that is too much for you then just replace the ball valve with what everyone has suggested.

Alright thanks, I think I'm going to mod my own sprinkler valve and use subterranean's idea.

basically yes using either a blow gun or ball valve. remember to remove the solinoid and seal it with epoxy or JB weld.

depending on what sprinkler u buy, there might/might not be a guide rod for the diaphragm. either way. if u dont have a guide rod, just drill straight in the middle. if u do have a guide rod, just offest the hole away from the rod.
