In my first days of spudding I had my first gun. A 1" ball valve gun with 6ft golfball barrel and 5.5ft 2" chamber. I wasn't thinking and I shot a golfball at a tree at 60 psi. That thing hit me right below the nose an above my upper lip. And boy did it hurt.

I loaded dry newspaper into my largest pneumatic cannon (10 ft 2" barrel, 8 ft 4" chamber), and fired it at my garage door thinking that dry newspaper couldn't do much damage. I was wrong though, and found a that the newspaper was able to leave a large dent in the garage door, and to make matters worse, some of the print from the newspaper had been left behind; and of course with my luck, it was a color picture of a women in a bra and panites from a victoria secret add from the paper.
My dad thought it was hilirious, my mom thought other wise....

I also tried making a cannon out of only hot glue and pop bottles, and tryed to glue a cap over a hole in the back of the bottle for easier venting. Of course it didn't hold and a massive bang occured when i fired the cannon which left my ears ringing. I, in all my wisdom, decided to glue the cap back on and try again, but this time the cap held, but the projectile got stuck in the barrel, and a jet of hot flame shot out from a little hole. My shirt caught fire and i know have a scar from the second degree burns i recieved on my stomach...

well i shot a AA battery at a solid piece of wood with my pneumatic from about 5 meters away at about 60 psi, the battery hit the wood and got launched into the air i was looking at the wood to see where i hit it for about 3 seconds then the battery came down and hit me on the head wasn't painful but it was funny.

and another time at pyro ninjas house well before my first spudgun (actually i had made a crossbow with a trigger mechanism) and i was having a go of his little combustion, i had put in to much of the mixture which was probably some air freshener or something like that, it didn't fire so i pulled the cap of the chamber and clicked the thing again and a fireball blew up into my face and up my arm, it left my arm black.

I shot a mouse ball (without the rubber) about 5cm away from my head at 130 psi when I accidentally triggered the blowgun with the base of my floor pump (I was holding the cannon and pump in one hand). Also, one of the elbows popped off when I was pumping and the schrader valve has been blown out of the chamber about 2 times. Once I tried to fire a test tube cork ( those red-ish rubber ones) which was about 3-4mm larger than the barrel, I rammed it down and when I tried to fire it there was a *BLOOONK!!* noise because the cork was so tight that the air just filled up the small gap behind it  I had to shake the cannon around until it eventually fired out with a bang and richoted off the garage wall.

Well, here's my major incident.

It was at the IPLA meet actually. I wanted Brian (BC Pneumatics) to see how nice luckythirteen's old piston valve gun was. I had completely redone the innards and it was a NICE firing cannon. So, we cranked up the generator, ran the compressor, and filled the cannon to about 110 PSI. I loaded a potato in the barrel (during filling thank you), aimed the cannon up, and fired. I was looking downrange. The first thing I felt the instant after I opened the ballvalve is the valve being ripped violently from my hand.Image The next thing I hear is "That hurt" coming from behind me. It was Brian, after getting hit in the leg with a piece of the back part of the gun... The piston cracked the SCH-40 male adapter and took it for a ride... Parts (read: part of the male adapter and the sprinkler valve (both connected together)) were 40 feet behind the gun.

With my first larger cannon, I thought it would be a good idea to shoot a barrel full of water into the sky. So I loaded my 5 foot barrel (2") full of water, held the cannon in my hands facing up, and fired. Next thing I know is the cannon shoots back and breaks my foot(and the cannon). Sooo yeah, never shoot water without bracing the cannon lol.

This accident is more of just stupidity. I loaded a battery into my cannon and had my friend start pumping it up. For whatever reason, I lean on the cannon and place my hand over the barrel. I also found out soon I accidently left the manual on my cannon open.
So I began to feel pressure against my hand and think "hmm, that's not supposed to happen." I take my had off the barrel and the battery shoots out passed my head. I actually felt the battery very slightly touch my forehead. Luckily I wasn't hurt, but it certainly was scary.

Once I thought it would be cool to shoot 5 golf balls at once at a board of wood. They weighed down the barrel and I missed and hit a rock I was using to hold the wood up. I remembered hitting the dirt right when I pulled the trigger, thinking it was a bad idea. I looked up and 3 golf balls flew right through where I was just standing. One hit a tree behind me and bounced off and hit me. Another one shattered my neighbor's plantpot into....many pieces.

I also got nailed on my right nipple by a lid that flew off a pill bottle.

Shocked myself twice within a minute with a camera flash circut.

Been burned a few times. The main reson I put the water bottle barrel on my ghetto tissue box cannon was because I got burned in the face by a fireball.

Another time I was reflling a butane canister from a long-nosed lighter with the wrong brand of refiller. Somehow, pressure built and built until with a BOOM the canister shot off and hit me, and I got sprayed by cold butane.

I was filling up my cannon in my room (bad mistake) and an angle piece decided to blow up and shoot across the room. I managed to escape with no PVC shards in me, they were just everywhere in my room. Also I was using one of those rubber end caps with a pipe clamp and decided to charge it up and it shot off however this time it nailed my arm and I had a circular bruise for a long time. Stung like hell too.
