Grip-Style valve?

So I was browsing Mcmaster (MAN I'm cool  ) and I saw a "Grip-Style Valve 1/4" NPT Female" (Part number 6852K11). It looks kinda like a mix of a blow gun and a ball valve.

Its 4 bucks more expensive than a ball valve of the same size, so I don't really care which one I get, but I just wanted to ask if anyone has had any experience with this kind of valve. If its a basically a blow gun with the efficiency of a ball valve, that sounds great!

^^^^^ ive seen people use those before. they seem to work very well, but I highly doubt that that has the same flow as a ball valve.

It's a blowgun.

Ignore the fact its missing a hook and a nozzle, it's still the same thing, its just 1/4" -> 1/4" instead of 1/4" -> 1/8".

Can't see it making a big difference.

Yah thats it. I guess I'll use one on my next cannon and see how the performance is.

1/4" is a blowgun size too, why would you use a 1/4" ball valve
