21 spud cannon sulute anyone??

You asked why not, so I'll propose a few answers:
1) You'd have to use very high-voltage, highly insulated wire to connect the plugs to the car's distributor, which would be expensive.
2) You'd have to stay close to your car constantly.
3) Unhooking the car's plugs, hooking up the cannon, and then putting things back when you're done each time would be a pain in the arse.
4) It's very bad for your car's starter motor
Using a camera flash, ignition coil, and relay, (or replace those 3 parts with a stungun...) wired to a spark plug in each gun, would probably be the easiest way to go.
Any type of electronic ignition system hooked up to a relay will work for this. A BBQ sparker might even work for just 2 or 3 small spark gaps, if the wiring was nice and thick (low resistance) but I wouldn't bet on it.
Visco cannon fuse would probably work also, just use an equal length for each cannon and have the ends of the fuses meet in one spot...
Theoretically, you could "link" all the chambers with small (say, 1/2") pipe, effectively creating one huge chamber (though it's actually several small ones linked together) with multiple barrels. Then, you could use a propane meter and several chamber fans (which would be required to evenly distribute the fuel between the chambers), and one central spark (the flame front would propagate to each chamber quite quickly). I wouldn't try it, I'm just saying, it's possible....
