this is where I shoot. there are also pics of where I get targets. I recently cleaned up the areas surrounding where I shoot, so here you go.

(these pics were taken last thanksgiving)

paintball mortar, anyone? (oh,btw, my work shop is about half the barn in the background. I build dirtbikes, spudguns, etc. there.

Image

this is what it looks like elevated, ready to shoot

Image

kinda menacing, huh?

Image

a farther off view

Image

a side view

Image

I can shoot this direction with no fear of hitting anything, since the range of the cannon (according to the ggdt) is 1.12 miles. there are 2 miles of wilderness in this direction

Image

here's my stack of targets. about 3.5 feet high, and as big as an 80's lincon towncar hood.

Image

various things I use while shooting (blocks for changing elevation, barrels, ammo, etc.)

Image

this is one of my ammo buckets

Image

a wet sand filled 2" pvc canister with a lag bolt through the front

Image

a cartridge, fits in 2"

Image

a hydraulic cement filled Gatorade bottle after going through 5 sheets of 3/4 inch plywood

Image

this is the magical farmers junkyard back n the woods where all my targets come from

It's not that I'm a hillbilly, It's way back in the woods, and I didn't put it there. this is where the farmers put their garbage from 140 years ago, until about 1980. this was before garbage trucks came and collected trash from around here.

a prime target.

the lawnmower that will die via swat gun eventually.

thanks.

so true! I wear welding gloves, thick pants, and a jacket whenever I go back there.

I once found a large coca-cola ice chest from 1939, drug it home on a wagon, then slapped it on ebay.

$250, and I still have the original bottle opener.

the guy who bought it is in texas, and paid for the shipping. keep in mind that this sucker weighed 90 pounds.

I also found a hood ornament from a 1950 pontiac, a 1956 mercury, and others.

It's mostly junk, but there's some treasures too...

My workspace is about 12x12 but its pretty nice and clean, me and my dad cleaned about a month ago, before, I couldn't even walk down there it was so messy. My shotting range is a large lake in my backyard. I can see the distance well. My lake is about 75 yards wide by 300 yards long.

This is my shooting range. The actual field of fire is marked off with the red lines. The circled part is my property. The range is owned by the guy off to the left (West) with the pool, and he has let it grown over so he doesn't have to see the people off to the right (East) of my house.

My workshop is anyplace I can find room. :P On good days, it is the 1-1/2" thick wood desktop I built. On worse days, it's the floor with some newspaper.

When I move into my own place, (YEARS from now), I think I'm going to do what I saw somebody else do. My shooting range is going to be under my house, (seriously, I forgot who this was, I though they had posted in this thread), and my workshop is going to be a separate shed.

EDIT: I didn't take any measurements of my shooting range, but I'd judge it to be around 80-120 yards in length. For comparison, I shoot along the East perimeter of my property along it's entire length with my pellet guns, and that is 67 yards in length, (I've had the Benjamin shooting that entire length many times).

haha ACDCmonkey, my workshop is so filled with crap right now i cant see the floor. its a big pile of shot up targets and PVC scraps, metal shards, and well, i think most of my tools are at the botom of the pile.

ill get a pic of my workshop AFTER i fix it. as, well, its kinda nasty now.

reading this thread is making me jealous :( i wish i had a 3000 sq foot shop, proper tools and a 2 mile range but all i have is a double garage which is usually half full with my dads TVR and a bike trailer and at the moment there is a ton of food and drink in there for christmas which is annoying because i had to clear my 6mm 'sniper' stuff away so food could be put on the workbench

It was sniperjosh that had a range under his house, up to 7x mix with his Hybrid i think.

Here is his range
