Co2 Questions

I've been considering making my first launcher Co2, just because I don't want to spend the energy pumping or have to use an electric pump to fill it up.

I did a search on co2 stuff and couldn't find anything to answer my questions.

I was playing with a remote coil (Link) I have for paintball and was thinking how nice it would be if I could fit something onto the launcher so I could screw the remote into that, fill it up and then take it off to fire it.
I can control how fast the co2 goes through it by how much the pin gets pushed in, so I don't think I'd need a regulator.
Plus, remote coils help the co2 to expand and warm up, so it wouldn't be as cold going into the chamber.

I want my launcher to be mobile, not very easy to break (mostly thinking of the gauge here) and it would be nice if I could take the gauge off after I filled the chamber. If that wasn't possible, I'd like to have as small of a chamber as possible.

Please excuse any ignorance.

Thanks :)

that would work in fact i was going to try that but you would need a pop off valve that pop when it reaches a certain pressure like 115psi so that if somehow when you fill it up it sticks and wont stop filling or yo fill it up too much then the pvc would blow up. use the quick release and unscrew the male nipple that goes into the asa threads then tap it into your chamber

I was just doing some searching and found that you can buy the nipples for like $4.00 at actionvillage (link).
On my remote the thing has something holding the ASA adapter onto the threads of the nipple, so I didn't want to mess that up so I could still use it for paintball (just in case).

or you could get a bottom line adapter that goes from asa to 1/8 npt threds so you wouldn't have to buy that you just screw in the asa quick connect like here but instead of the 12gram the remote quick dissconect

That's a great idea.
What'd you use to make them air tight?

for the NPT? either use teflon tape, or loc-tite (the removable kind, some are stuck forever) i think for ASA you need to have an O-ring on the tank before you screw it in, i dont know i've only tested my co2 regulator with a friend's tank

Most co2 tanks come with an o-ring on them.
I already have them on my ones for paintball.

I think what I'm gonna do is buy these(HSL C/A to 1/8in NPT Adapter, AVI Quick Disconnect Part) and then attach them together and to the chamber. Then I can hook up my remote coil right to it or if I want later on I can attach an ASA adapter to it.

Then buy a gauge and pop-off valve from spudtech.
