Co2 Questions

I've been considering making my first launcher Co2, just because I don't want to spend the energy pumping or have to use an electric pump to fill it up.
I did a search on co2 stuff and couldn't find anything to answer my questions.
I was playing with a remote coil (Link) I have for paintball and was thinking how nice it would be if I could fit something onto the launcher so I could screw the remote into that, fill it up and then take it off to fire it.
I can control how fast the co2 goes through it by how much the pin gets pushed in, so I don't think I'd need a regulator.
Plus, remote coils help the co2 to expand and warm up, so it wouldn't be as cold going into the chamber.
I want my launcher to be mobile, not very easy to break (mostly thinking of the gauge here) and it would be nice if I could take the gauge off after I filled the chamber. If that wasn't possible, I'd like to have as small of a chamber as possible.
Please excuse any ignorance.
Thanks
