Do you understand how the valve works? Once you understand how the valve works, it all makes sense... and after a while you can blow people's heads off with your rapid fire knolage of pilot operated valves. It's great fun.
For this info, one might try looking around this site, although I forget exactly where. You might try searching, you might try in the "how-to" section; maybe the punisher valve. I think there is a piston valve there too, but I don't remember if it does much as far as explanations. However, the real meat is on the spudtech forums... there's a sticky in either the pnematic or "newb's corner" section explaining the workings of piston valves. The workings of diaphram valves are similar enough that you'll understand them the minute you understand the piston valves.
Typicaly, the sprinkler valves will have [female] threads on the ends. Just make shure the arrow on the body of the valve is pointed towards the muzzle, and screw it on. Of course, to screw it on you'll need to have solvent weld (the lazy people at the hardware store might call it "glue") male threaded fittings of the apropriet size on your pipe.
If the ends of your valve arn't threaded on the inside, make absolutly shure it's pointing in the right direction, and solvent weld it on.
As to the dimensions, play around with <a href="

ok so let me see if ive got this right. if i use the right fittings and stuff to connect the sprinkler valve to the gun and then "mod" the valve to have the blowgun trigger coming out of it,where do i put the schrader valve? then, when i put the air pressure into the valve, and i pull the trigger, the air goes into the barrell? Why wouldnt it come out of the other end of the blowgun. AS for that ggdt prgm, what do i select for valve type? and for piston? should i make them all 0 for piston sinse im not using one?

1) You "tap" the schrader vavle into the side of your chamber.
2) After you fill your chamber up with air thru schrader valve then you press the blowgun and that allows the diaphram to open then the air rushes into your barrel forcing your projectile out.
3) To understand why the air of your chamber doesnt come out the blowgun you need to take one apart and look at it. It would take me a long time to explain thru words.
4) I dont know what to tell you about the GGDT program because I havent used it in a long time there should be a guide telling you how to work it.

Anyway, I can tell from your questions that you don't understand how barrel sealing pilot valves work. <a href="

so my chamber needs to be on one side of the sprinkler valve and my barrel on the other? If not, when i but the air pressure in, it will not compress, but go right out of barrell. im still not really getting how to set up the gun.

Right

I know your a noob and all but this question could of easly been answered if you took the time to look at any other cannon that had a modded sprinkler just look at this basic gun and you should get the how the setup works.

yes, i have seen that particular cannon before while browsing the forums. Does it matter if there is a u type shape to the assembly or can it be straight? i cant really figure out that ggdt program, so what would be good lengths for my chamber and barrel?

It will be longer if you have it strait (linear, as we often say), and the flow will be <i>slightly</i> better... but not enough to notice.
As to the lengths of the barrel & chamber... big.
Why doesn't <b>anyone</b> put their IM account name in their info?! Explaining how to use the GGDT is one of the things that is easy to do with an instant messaging system.
