No worries mate, it's possible to lose the idiot title. You'll learn more, and someone else even stupider will come along, never fails.

Edit: Thank you :) ^^

You know, people will take you a lot more seriously if you put some time into your posts (Capitalize the first letter, 'I's, etc). The occasional typo is fine, just glance over what you write before you hit submit.

As you can see, when I type correctly it gives the illusion that I am not actually an idiot.

More on topic,- Dry ice is only a good idea if you can get it for free. I know a kid who's dad uses it at work, so I can get it if I have to. In most cases its easier to just get a co2 tank. They are fairly cheap, and they won't explode on you.

(By the way, bob-a-lu was some guy who posted stupid help-me topics every day)

Dry ice would'nt explode on you unless you stand by it with it sealed up for a little bit.

Yea, the cold of the dry ice tends to make the pvc brittle, and brittle PVC has a tendency to explode, I don't know if someone already mentioned that or not. And _fnord is right, out of two equal idiots, the one who makes a greater effort at grammar and punctuation, will most likely be seen as the smarter of the two.

I realise that, but isn't that basicaly what you intended to do when using it with a potato gun?
most metal pipe from a hardware store should be able to take around 800 psi, but there isn't much room for error. Threaded 2" sch40 steel pipe has a estimated burst pressure of a little over a thousand psi.

Judging by the quality of most metal plumbing grade pipe I've seen, I wouldn't trust it with the risks involved.

A co2 tank, however, is designed to handle the kind of pressure dry ice will produce, and is tested before it is put on the self.

I would use the pressure to an extent the way dry ice 'deforms' it does it slowly, not rapidly. Well i guess it would depend on portions but I highly doubt its just gonna spike right after you seal it.
