I am working to optimize all pages "under the hood" in order to make server stress less and bandwidth use and load time less.

After getting dugg I started to look into how I run things around here, and found how how inefficient things are. (look at the VERY bottom of pages to for some technical stats if your curious) Through the years i've just added and hacked on the forum without ever thinking about speed or what kinds of stresses it puts on the server.

The optimizations combined with the soon to be new server and host with larger bandwidth and server capabilities should retrofit SpudFiles to grow to maybe 10x it's current size and be able to withstand a digg.

Something you may find cool, when I change hosts SpudFiles will now be physically protected by 12 armed security guards, an array of security cameras, fingerprint scanners, and facial scanners. SpudFiles will also be hosted on a server that is Firewalled with active security, vs "hangin it all out" like SpudFiles is now.

Oh yeah and I almost forgot this change, I finally figured out how to do Automated Cannon Posting. No longer will you have an "Official" section and "Submit" section, they will be 1 section. You can create your own topic for your cannon and submit it and all that I will have to do to it is look over it and click a "Verify" button and your cannon will be online. Insted of using the cannon pages, all cannons will be displayed like this.

Could you explain in detail what you are trying to do? I mean you talk about hitting the search timeout, but you never mention searching?
