There are some things that have been bothering me around here lately. I have been trying to keep quiet but I think it is time to address these.
1. Please don’t ask: “how much propane u put in
it?”
IT DOSN”T MATTER! Find out for yourself, it varies for every cannon. The standard is 4.03% you can find the amount you need Here

2. READ THE FORUM NAME! For example, don’t ask for plans or help in the theory or how-t section. They even say in the forum name “(not for help me posts)”.

3. Do not ask for plans. Just don’t, there are MANY great how-to’s on this site. This site was created for that reason, to hake a database of gun designs.

4. Don’t ask about your sprinkler valve honking... There are many questions like yours.

5. Search before you post! There are so many duplicate questions out there that have a good solid answer waiting for you to find. There is a thing called a search at the top of the page, USE TI!

6. Don’t title your topic “URGENT: GUN HELP!” or anything similar. These are a hobby, not that you life depends on it. Your question is No more important that anyone else’s.

7. ALL CAPS IS REALLY ANNOYING. SO IS red font . It doesn’t impress people that you can leave the caps lock on.

I’m tired now, that is all I can think of. I’ll probably add more in the morning.

Even though i agree with what spudstuff says its too hard to teach all the kids who use myspace and bebo crap 24/7 about proper english, format, grammar and common sence(e.g Not asking for plans)

you can change a few of 'em but to change 'em all is too hard...i used to be a noob when i joined but unlike alot of people who sign up I stayed on the forum and posted, most members just come to find out how to build a combustion or to look at them.

I do agree with spudstuff, but be careful not to fall in the extreme. For the proper english, remember that everybody here ain't english (i'm french, learning english) so i understand for the SMS writing style, it's not suitable, but be comprehensive about that.
People who want plans should not build any cannons. this is as simple as that. for a comparaison, when you understand why 2+2=4, you don't need no one to explain it to you. that's the same here, you understand how a cannon works, than you don't need no one to make plans for you.

"no honking sprinkler valves"? I think It's fine If they post those threads. It is hurting nothing/no one, and If you don't like it, don't look at it or post in it. I have noticed when you do post in threads you don't like, It is almost always a useless post where you [female doggy] and moan. you are guilty of many of the things on your list, and many people have already posted threads like this one, so why did you make it? It seems to go against the general idea of #4.

....whew, I'm done now.

I't kind of ironic that the King of Flame is the one who started this topic, isn't it? :D
But he is kind of right. To tell you the truth, when I joined I was expecting more creativity and less "can you tell me how to meik a camera ingintion please ok by".
While we're at it, what bugs me the most:
1. useless thread titles, like "my new pneumatic", "please help", "I'm new" etc.
How would you like it if all your books were entitled "cool book", "my new book", "exciting novel" and so on? It would be pretty confusing, wouldn't it?
2. the same topics about the same friggin shyte we talked about last week.
You know what I'm talking about: C:B ratios, fuel problems, friggin camera ignition, honking sprinklers and so on.
We have a wiki, a search function and the option to make common issues sticky. But nooooooo, we still get the same questions every damn week. It's depressing, man.

All of these things are very annoying. The problem is, there is no real way to fix them. The new members who come onto this forum rarely read through the forums a bit, try the search button, and gain an understanding of how this place works... Usually it is simply click the new topic button, title it "HelPZ me Ple3z!!1!" and write some illegible question that in fact, is very basic.

One way to remedy this problem has been talked about extensively on spudtech, and this is to make an advanced members forum, where you need to meet some kind of qualification before you are accepted. While this eliminates most of the noob questions, it greatly decreases the number of people who visit and post, and can sometimes leave the non-advanced-members forum to go crazy

Just my $.02 though

Spustuff, get off your high hore. You at a time were no better than the people who do this, so stop your whining. Some people just have to learn the hard way, and how many of them do you think are actually going to read this?

Seriously, get realistic.
