I've been looking for electric bbq ignitors and I find a lot of things like this

I don't know if, or how they can be used on spudguns any ideas on how these work

I think the question is how do these work. He is probably also meaning to ask, were to add the wires that lead to the spark gap in the chamber, Or if it would be possbile to rig it up to work on a cannon. The question wasn't, Were do I get a Push button BBQ ignitor, thats not electric?

yeah, there are electronic ignitors, like battery powered ones. I used to see them at a Menards near where I live for, like, $10. But that was before I got into spudding. Then the next year I built a spud gun. And they no longer carried them. And when I look online, they're like $40.

There seems to be a misconception running around. The igniter I linked to is a piezoelectric device. It does ignite the fuel with an electric spark.

This is true but the ignitor I linked to is a battery powered bbq ignitor and with the simple easy push of the button it keeps igniting no click click click bs is definatley worth the extra 20 bucks

This sounds like more of a problem with your fuel mixture. The name-brand igniters I sell spark with outstanding reliability and always ignite a good fuel mixture.

Anywho, that ignitor says "rotary ignitor" with a dial, so i'm assuming you spark it by rotating the long black thing emenating from it. My guess is it is 3 piezoelectric sparkers which strike in a rotating fashion. Anyways, there are also 3 spark outputs, which would be usfeul for making multiple sparks, although a standard sparker like the one BC is pushing works just as well.

Yeah It was the spray and pray setup, which is what everyone usually starts out at, but why not have an easier time when trying to get it firing with a constant tat tat tat tat instead of the pain in the @ss click click click click, and I'm sorry if i seem like a d!c< but it's just cause I'm not pushing the item I'm trying to get the best ignitors for those who want the best. and these blow the he!! out of the piezo electric ones.

Fair enough Mr. Grib, but a lot of people that have a setup that will fuel properly would prefer to pay less and have something that works just as well for them. To each his own.
