This is going to be my next gun -
its going to be .22 and run on compressed air at around 300 psi.
uses home made hammer valve made out of brass and aluminium.
I based it on the air force condor, talon what ever. because its simply and effective. This one might cost a bit so i might have to find a job to pay for it ! lol construction is going to be out of steel bits and pieces, hopefully no plastic , which is going to make it weigh a ton ! but hey its going to be strong !
any way heres a rough animation of what i intend the internals to look like.

Animation looks good! Always wondered how the AF Condor worked, but I guess I was never that interested enough to check it out.
I assume your going to machine it all up? I might also ask what your using for the seals on this gun. It would seem that in a hammer valve your seals get roughed around a bit.
Wish you luck in the project, moving this from a rough animation to functioning 3-dimensional hammer valve is going to be hard.
Almost forgot. You going to buy a barrel for this guy? I would just say it'd be dumb to spend this much time on a project like this and then slap an over sized smooth bore steel pipe on there.
[Edit:]
[What is the thing on the bolt that seems to float around at a different rate then the rest of the bolt?]

Its not exactly how the AF condor works but its very similar ! That thing that floats around is the bolt slide thingo, it pushes the hammer/bolt back into the locked position ready to fire. Barrel wise im trying to find aluminum tubing that fits .22 pellets . Getting a rifled one is to hard to find in Aussie and expensive . Other wise i most definitely would get one !

I agree with pimpmann to some extent.. instead of making a hammer valve buy a 3/8" qev + blowgun for piloting + hydaulic tubing for barrel
it would be much cheaper to make and it would work

I would agree that for a single shot launcher, I'd rather have a QEV than a hammer valve.

Let's not extend the hunting debate here too. Discussion of shooting living things with homemade launchers on this forum is strictly prohibited (ajdevi92 please take note), other than that everyone on the forum is entitled to his/her opinion on whether shooting animals for sport is ethical.

The trigger maybe OK for wear, but the trigger pull will probably be very heavy.
One way to improve it is by adding another lever.
Rather than the trigger releasing the bolt, it would press another lever on one side. That would give you a lighter trigger pull.
Similar to the way a Sten SMG's simple trigger works. 8)
