how much PSI do u guys normally use in your guns? i'm just using normal sch40 Pvc ...with a pvc ball valve...nothin fancy at alll works awesome though. At 80 psi it'll lauch just over 200 yards. I was just wondering how much more i could put in it though. I really dont understand why you put all these fancy valves in your guns... buy the 12 dollar pvc ball valve it works perfect

thanks

Try a sprinkler valve and you'll understand.

Depending on the pressure rating of your ball valve I would say that up to +/- 120psi is safe but some people go a lot higher.

I dont like ball valves because when you pull it your gun moves.

look at the pressure rating of the pipe. devide that in half if you have any threaded fittings then subtract 10% off that and you have your max

Well good thing you found out early, and definitly do not use that pipe in your pneumatic for saftey reasons.

how long is the pipe ? it could be short enough that the pressure rating was cut off and is not showing

I have a friend who used non-pressure rated pipe and luckily it didn't blow up, but its only a matter of time, especially with the higher pressures associated with pneumatics. And if it does blow up, expect lots of shrapnel because pvc doesn't crack or sheer, it shatters.

ok....but that will only happen like if i go more than what i have been using right? if i keep it under 85 psi it wont blow up will it?

You're not safe at 85psi, I wouldn't put more then 20psi in non-pressure rated pipe. It could explode at any pressure.
