but now i am stuck on what i need for a regulator??? i have found this setup with a small tank and what i think is a regulator???

Instead of killing yourself due to the fact that you apparently have 0 knowledge of wtf you are doing, dont make the gun. The last picture isnt even a co2 tank, its a 3000 psi hpa tank which if attached to pvc would end your life via being blasted by shrapnel. Also, why the hell would you carry a co2 tank on your back. Also, you can constantly run co2 in a pvc gun without a break inbetween so the portability of it being on your back is useless. If you dont give the pvc time to warm up from the freezing temperatures of the co2, it will eventually become dangerously brittle.

Rethink it please, just looking out for you and the communitys reputation, please be safe.

What would be easier dude is if you just stuck a fork in the wall socket... Unless you have a MCB trip of course, in that case you could always just jump of a building or something, it easier and won't make such a mess..... (Pun intended)

Dont even make that gun, its not safe either. He has an unregulated hpa tank on that which is VERY dangerous. Just buy a paintball gun... honestly.

Dude I know you wanna make an extreme paintball gun and heres what I'd recommend. You can get smaller compressed co2 tanks than them like on spudtech.com, just get a regulator for it that fits, I'd put a a ball valve on it too and then find fittings that connect the regulator to the ball valve and then from the valve to the chamber. If you set the regulator to a certain pressure and open your valve you will have constant pressure. You can choose whatever firing system you want wether it be piston exhuast, diaphragm or normal and then make your own loading mechanism. Then you can call it your own design. I wouldn't bother going into hpa tanks and nitrogen tanks, if you can built it right you'll be more than able to shoot at higher velocities than most pb guns are allowed.

Ok, this is the last time im gonna say it than i give up. DO NOT USE A CONSTANT FLOW OF CO2 AS A POWER SOURCE IN A GUN MADE OF PVC.

CO2 IS INSANELY COLD. By having a constant flow of co2 running through pvc with the addition of high pressure, its like pressurizing your gun after leaving it in the freezer overnight. The gun will become brittle if it does not have a break between uses and eventually grenade.

Co2 is only safe if you have a downtime between uses to allow for the pvc to return to a safer temperature. It is safe to use things like a tire inflator to fill your gun up, fire it, then give it a couple of minutes to warm up, then go again. But running a tank of co2, constantly spraying into your gun is just not smart...

Theres a reason why its not smart to use your gun in the winter.

if he wants to build it then at least help him out a little instead of bombing on him. he didnt say he wasnt going to use a regulater he just asked if there was one on the small tank already.

Ok mihlrad you keep saying that your going to blow yourself up with the HPA tank but its actually safer than co2 because the it is not cold. Since the HPA tanks do have 3000-5000 psi in the tank, that is NOT how much it puts out. Most tanks are high output which is regulated at around 800 psi (the room temp co2 puts out) and some can be low pressure which comes out at about 400. But thats a hella lot expensive so I dont think you should use that a primary air source.

Back on topic though I have see some fireman air tanks on ebay for dirt cheap... like I got two 2216 psi air tanks for $10 with a local pickup. Of course I had to get it hydrod, but you can find regulators for them like I think a bulk co2 regulator will work with an adapter but dont hold me responsible if that doesnt work.

Regardless of which is safer, they are both unsafe unregulated. The HPA tank may not output that much psi, but it sure as hell can output FAR more than pvc will withstand.

inline regulator from a basic spyder pb gun.
it accepts HPA systems and outputs 125 psi

pb_gunz that "regulator" in the picture you posted (the one that is just a link) is actually not a regulator at all. Its an asa (threads on the tank) adapter with an npt output port on it. So you would still be getting 800 psi out of that. What you need is a paintball reguator for the HPA tank or a bulk CO2 regulator which both can be found on ebay with a simple search.

EDIT: dinsdale Which spyder has a regulator with an output of 125 psi? Because I havent heard of one.

No offence but let they guy work it out for himself if he doesent care about your opinion (he is probably just leting his imagination take over.). Failure is necessary for building character but we will know if he fails because he will be on the news :( .
