That's nice to know...I think. I don't know, what can I say. I guess if you were fine and happy before, then it shouldn't really matter now should it?

I too have ADD. For a while, my raw IQ got me through. I looked like I was always goofing off in class. Invariably, when I was called on, I'd have to ask the teacher to repeat the question. More often than not, I had the right answer. Around 6th grade, the coursework got a bit more difficult, and I couldn't get by without paying attention, and I had to learn to compensate.
While it can be problematic, there are some techniques you can use to minimize the effects.
The first, and most important thing you can do is this: Promise yourself that you will NEVER let it be an excuse for underachieving.
Second, get a dayplanner, and use it. When you get an assignment, write it down immediately.
Treat your dayplanner as a scheduler. When you get a chance, go through the tasks assigned today, and fill out individual goals on the calendar.
Example: You get an assignment for a paper due in two weeks. Start at the due date, and repeat that the assignment is due. Back off a couple days, and write down that the item should be complete. A couple days earlier, you should have your draft done. A couple days earlier, you should have a full outline done.
By having small, achievable goals planned out well in advance, the task becomes much more manageable, with less temptation to check up on every single distraction.
Third, if you're allowed, record the class lectures, in case you missed something and need to go back and hear it again. DO NOT let this be an excuse to avoid note-taking.
