I don't see it as a personal achievement, more of a reflection of how good this forum has been and hopefully always will be, and how there's always something new to learn, here's to another 6000 posts :)

and on that note i should hit the sack, work early tomorrow and i'm this close to calling for a group hug  lol

Oh, OK... you can do without sleep for a while. :D

I've pulled off the daft act of doing 2, or even 3 days in a row without sleep.
Surprisingly, most people don't tend to notice until late day 3:
"Did you not sleep well last night?"

...only to recoil in shock when I tell them I haven't slept since three nights ago.

I don't think you need any more nicotine and/or caffeine. A have suspicions that's what's causing this high dP/dt anyway.

I doubt it, tried quitting both and the irregular sleep patterns remained - besides, when you're in a lab surrounded by highly volatile solvents and oxidisers, not to mention concentrated doses of active pharmaceutical ingredients, drinking and smoking is hardly something you can do in front of your PC  :D
