request to ban boyntonstu

Unread postAuthor: jhalek90 » Thu Mar 24, 2011 10:12 am

Any mods are free to delete this post if i am out of line.

Browsing this forum for the past few weeks, i have been made to filter through all the bull crap and trash posted by boyntonstu.

boyntonstu's topics are almost always quickly turned into arguments in which he refuses to take any form of criticism, and repeatedly trashes any comments made by others, including respected members of this forum, as well as our moderators.

When he replies to other topics, boyntonstu always manages to turn the topic belly up with the above mentioned techniques.

I believe it is time to ban this arrogant member.
If requested, i shall make a poll.

Eh, banning is a little much. certainly a suspension, and post deletion and topic locking if necessary

Skip my posts, delete my posts, ignore my posts.

Do you watch the worst channel on TV or do you switch?

Do you have self-control, or must you read my Blah, Blah Blah?

Isn't his fun?

BTW I REALLY respect a few folks on this forum;

Technician and Joerg just to mention a few.

I am thrilled when Joerg makes a video (Easter Egg Slingshot on a Stick) and gives me credit for the invention.

Most of you kiddies do not contribute anything but ad hominem attacks.

Get a job.

I apologize to the several other logical adults that I left out.

Most? Let's see, is 2 a major majority?

Only kidding, I appreciate your minor support when you who voted suspension instead of banning. Terrific!

Other than Jake, I see no other full support for keeping the status quo.

Perhaps there is one more full supporter?

I don't see why we can't simply have intelligent conversation. End of story.

I'm certainly not supporting you. You seem to think no invention but yours is perfect.

I strongly dislike you.

I will join a sports team and you may be my athletic supporter.

Let us know when you invent an imperfect invention.

Didn't you know that many inventors thinks that their inventions are perfect?

Many people suffer from rectal-cranial inversion, but that doesn't mean that it's the way to live.

And if someone's style was constant racism, drunken spam and the like, would we ban them? That's what happened to Thunderlord.

While I'm not saying that Stu should be banned*, an anti-social "style" is certainly a valid reason for banning.

*It's not my decision to make. But I do think he needs to buck his ideas up, stop taking other people's posts confrontationally and stop making his own so confrontational.

In fairness to Stu.....he shouldn't be exiled from SF. I do find it annoying that he seems to see everything he touches as an "Invention" but, I also have to give him credit for always looking to create something. Creating something new is what everyone on SF does or should be doing. I'm sure it offends people that Stu is his own best supporter, but in reality, people thought Tesla and Edison were nuts too, yet they did that which they believed in rather than listen to their detractors. Now, I'm not equating Stu with Edison and Tesla, but like them, he does believe in what he "Invents" and he defends it. For that I give him credit. I don't necessarily like his egotistical presentations and demeanor but, I also have the choice of not reading them.

In short....I'd never nominate him for Mr. Congeniality but, most of us on SF could never win that title. Don't ban him.

Indeed. I dont think he should be banned either. i think its good he invents things, his attitude just could use a little adjustment. And velocity has a good point that we dont have to read them, but that can also be said for stu as well.

it works both ways. To be totally honest, I think this whole situation has blown up a little too far.

I suggest the mods simply lock this, and any further discussion anyone might wish to have with Stu be taken up via PM.

Yep, a little attitude adjustment.

Great song:

ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT, HANK JR.

I met an old friend in the bar the other night
He got a little drunk and he wanted to fight;
He jumped up and challenged every man in the room.
And just about the time he got the words out
An old boy jumped up and closed his mouth
And used his head for a mop and his butt for a broom.
It was an Attitude Adjustment, I guess it was his first time.
An attitude adjustment, now he understands just fine.
He got bent out of shape, then he opened his mouth
And just one appointment straightened him right out
It was an attitude adjustment--It'll work every time.

Now I've got this big old Brother-in-law
And me and him just never did get along
Cause he just wasn't treating my sister nice.
He got drunk one night and started and beating me up
And I went and got a tire tool out of my truck
And straightened him out as cold as a block of ice.
It was an attitude adjustment and it'll work every time.
An attitude adjustment-I made him see the light.
Now he says I'm his kind of man,
He comes around me with his hat in his hand
It was an attitude adjustment; I cured his family pride.

Now my girl friend slapped me in the face
And I said "Darling, that was your first mistake".
And then she went wild and her eyes turned red.
She started breaking everything and screaming loud
And kicking me and cussing me out
And I gave her a little adjustment on the top of her head.
It was an attitude adjustment, Ah she loves on me all the time.
Just an attitude adjustment, She's got a whole new frame of mind.
She don't nag and I don't beg, We get along and like I said,
Just an attitude adjustment Ah, everything's just fine.

She called the cops to take me in
And I said "You'll never do it , Friend".
And they just smiled and said "Oh yes we will!".
Now sticks to the head and kicks to the shin
And several bites by Rin Tin Tin
And I couldn't wait to get into that jail.
It was an attitude adjustment, Oh I went along peacefully
Attitude adjustment, They made me clearly see
So my head is black and my legs are blue
And both knee caps are bit clean through
It was an attitude adjustment
Made my whole life look brand new.
YES, SIR. I UNDERSTAND JUST FINE--PERFECTLY

If you don't like him, ignore him. He obviously acts like a child, so we have to treat him like one. If you ignore him, he has no one to argue with. A ban is not necessary.
