New message backup.

Unread postAuthor: warhead052 » Sat Jan 21, 2012 10:32 am

Is there a way to see the new messages from a previous session? I have been having problems with my internet lately and my browser crashing, and it sucks having to find every thread that people have commented on. Is there a way to recover the threads from that day that had been commented on? Also, would it be possible to implement something to where it backs up the threads when you exit, and stores it kinda like an inbox so that when you want to get rid of threads you can simply remove them from the list?

I have the same problem sometimes. I guess if you subscribe by email you can see the new messages.

So you keep a window open for each thread you are watching ?

Most browsers now have a function to re-open the last viewed pages on startup.

If your browser is crashing that would tend to suggest that the problem isn't only with your internet.

Is it really so difficult/time consuming to go through each active section individually and check for recent posts? Given that this forum is relatively inactive and doesn't see much posting on a day to day basis, this process typically takes less than 10 minutes. Surely you can't be that lazy...

People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people.

Spud, it just sucks when you have been away all day, and then suddenly your browser crashes and you have to find all the posts again.

Thank's for the ideas though, I will try some of them out.
