Yeah, as soon as I read the title, I knew what cannon you were talking about. It still stands to be a sweet valve design.

Its an interesting design, and I like the idea of a piston housed in a cross like that. I am not seeing faster than speed of sound performance with a barrel that short, a pilot volume that large, and the low pressures you should be using with pvc. I think your homemade chrony needs some serious twee...

I love this! looks much nicer than my keychain gun. Great work on the pump as well. I made a pump that worked, but too well. I had the issue of getting past the crack pressure of my schrader, so it didnt fill very fast. I like my shock pump anyways. I have the option of 800 psi fills from my paintba...

Have you thought about using large diameter copper? Like 2 inch. For your budget, something special could be made with that.

Chances are that the machine is not made to go above those pressures. This is a hobby where we find safe ways of getting "higher pressures". Make your own pump of some sort or buy one that is rated to go that high. I have a 10 dollar bike pump that I can get to 200 psi with a little effort. It is a ...

I'm working on a 3 inch valve cannon.
Haha. I know about these plans. Trust me, you will enjoy the insane power of a 3 inch valve. It does not take much psi to impress.

This was at 60 psi. And I am sure that your valve will be more impressive.

Of course it looks professional. I think it looks better than 99% of what is on the web. Problem is 99 percent of the web was designed by people with no art experience and probably for free. Getting those high paying design jobs is tough, I know from experience. There are thousands out there just li...

I say take a section of the pipe to the grocery store and see what cans fit well inside of it. I made a 3 inch bore (schedule 40 pvc) and found some dog food cans that work great. The cans work even better after you use them and fill them with water then freeze em. As tech said, be carefull of the r...

And I might be inclined to make one smaller just to try it but really, are they even worth it that tiny? No offence I still think mini's rock but I just have big doubts as to their power is all... Well, I got 230 feet per second with this little thing: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/300-winmag-bul...

When I was at art school, I wasnt in graphic design, But I went to school with a few kids who were. One of their projects that stuck out in my mind was to create a cereal box. As in Make up a cereal, and fully print out graphics and fold them into a box. I think it showed a greater sense of design. ...

I have seen plenty of advanced propane cannons made from ABS. I say you should be fine going that route.

It seems as though you have made about 15 versions of the same cannon. Different demensions and whatnot, but the same thing.

I think he is trying to keep them fairly simple for cost reasons.

Who says you cant modify them when you get them?
