I don't know what country you live in but I know for a fact that coper jacketed 7.26x39's and 7.62x54's will go through plenty of 1/4" steel.  If you want pics, I can provide.

Yeah, I have an elaborate scheme for oxy/propane mixing. As for hybrid, I don't know how I could keep the projectile in there. Incidentally though, because of the ventilation problems I'm having, it would be REALLY easy to make it a hybrid with my venting system. The barrel is 2.625" ID. Perfect for...
