i have found that vortex guns perform best with co2. velocity is greatly improved compared to shop-air (air compressor) can use co2 without a regulator. use extra caution when building the gun, use strong epoxy at all joints and install screws as an added safety

i think it would require an enormous air supply to spray marbles or paintballs, think about it, .177 or 6mm outlet will empty 20oz of co2 in less than 30 seconds, now open up the barrel size to .68 and you could probably empty a 10 pound tank in the same amount of time.

very good idea, would allow for a compact size gun, and put the ammo where it should be (below the barrel) there a possible a thousand variations on this type of airgun design.
