Once you get a suitable $$$ barrel you can fiddle with the valving.
Don't worry I have the barrel part covered. I plan on getting a 6.03 mm tightbore.

I might be too late to help, but make magazine ran an article about an air cannon made only for making noise. it looks nothing like a cannon, recharges fairly fast and is supposedly rather loud. Google "boom stick".

I looked at the link and i googled RC warship gun but I don't really see why I need either of these things. I respect your opinion, but I might not have made it clear before that I want distance and accuracy over ROF and I don't care if my gun is one shot, or if it has easy loading capabilities like...

Ok, well, For an airsoft Sniper Rifle(I no longer care for it to be semi-automatic) which do you all think would have better results:
A four-way ball valve(so i can load at the top)
or
a solenoid valve.

3-way ball valves

I was hoping of making a sniper rifle where the ball valve also acts as the main loading port (is that the correct term?) anyways, i was looking at some diagrams on wikipedia and it seems that they dont make any valves where, when they are closed, they are shut off to all air flow except for the top...

but how long would the valve stay open if i only used 24 volts?
isn't voltage the measure of how much energy a capacitor holds?

using solenoids

I'm looking to make an pump airsoft sniper rifle using a solenoid valve and I had a few questions: First of all, is this even worth the trouble? I'm only attempting to use a solenoid because i've made an airsoft gun out of a water gun before and i didn't like how you had to pump it 20 times after ev...
