My uncle made a single shot version of that. He said it got good range and nice power. He had a 7 foot tube, and a small lathed spike at the bottom. He just dropped the cartriges in like a mortar.

Imploding barrel?

My next project is a high pressure co-ax. My chamber will be galvanized steel, but my barrel will be pvc. At 300psi is there any chance of my barrel imploding. Thanks in advance!

Not if he used really high pressure and small volume of air. Because all the air would of escaped before the piston would have time to fully return.

There is an issue with your dump chamber. Specifically pointing towards your "Air In" area, and the mechanical sear that will drop to fire it. You have a larger surface area on the chamber side than you do the sear side, so it will not simply slide towards the sear like in the animation. It may sli...

I always thought that somthing spring loaded would be cool. Another idea i had, wich wouldnt work for your gun is to take an electric airsoft piston and add tube to the piston with will come out of the barrel. its an easy semi auto hammer. if you did that would you need a spring behind the piston? ...
