Egg Cooking Chem Project

Ive got this project for chemestry, and the project is: cook an egg using ~20g of ethanol. A small crappy alchohol burner is provided. now the rules are, we can build our own burner, and can pretty much do whatever, so long as we use the 20g of fuel provided. my current idea was to take a small jar,...

airport legal question

at the end of every band camp there is a massive water fight. i recently got my hands on a scuba tank holder vest, and am thinking of making some ungodly powerful supersoaker. my problem is, the camp is on another island (i live in hawaii) and i was going to use my C02 tank w/ kobalt reg to power it...

Just out of curiosity, with a BBMG ROF, wouldn't there be a pretty good chance of a bb getting stuck partially in the ball valve, which would stop it from closing? If that is actually a problem, how would you fix it? Also, about how many shots you think you could get off that tank at 450 PSI?

To add on to what JSR said, carbon fiber arrow shafts often work, as well as 1/4" breakline (car/truck part). You could also buy an airsoft barrel online, but the longest ones out there are only about 600mm (~2 feet). I've found the ones on this site very good, plus if you buy off this particular pa...

should jamming be a problem if i have the bbmg built to handle my operating pressure? will it result in catastrophic failure or just a higherpowered shot after a short pause?

tightbore question

everyone know not to put used/low quality bbs through a tightbore in an AEG. everyone says it will "mess up the barrel" on the other hand, ive put many thousands of used/low quality bbs through a 6.25mm barrel with pretty much no problems. i happened to get my hands on a 6.03mm barrel that im thinki...

Sorry, I'm not convinced that a cartridge design is the most practical mechanism.
Fair enough, I'm aware this is mostly a personal obsession with flying brass hehe
I love brass too. It self lubricates. ;)

on your diagram, is grey a spacer and green epoxy?

i get what you guys are saying about the price, but if the surface area of 3/4" PVC is ~.53 square inches, does a 3/4" qev have more flow than that? because it seems like a waste to have a valve with more flow than the barrel would allow

qev question

i know that QEVs are commercial optimized piston valves, but my question is how much flow do they have? will a 3/4" QEV provide enough flow to fully use the volume of a 3/4" barrel? or should i go for a 1" QEV on a 3/4" barrel

hey, also keep in mind if you are gluing large diameter pipe, some hardware stores only sell glue for up to 2" diameter pipe, i didn't realize that on a cannon with a 4" chamber, the whole chamber blew out and flew about 20 feet into a fence. anyway, read the side of the container, if might have som...
