yes, unthreaded pipe is used with compression fittings. a unmodified fittting has a stop built in to prevent the pipe from going on the way though, get the right size drill bit and a drill press and you can easily modify it to work

[quote="Lockednloaded" All you would need to do is figure out how much force is needed to push the BB through your seal. Then, to find the psi it will take to push it through you just do pressure * ~1/2" the surface area of the BB (assuming only half of the BB's surface area is embedded into the sea...

i see what you meant now. i have not yet had the chance to look for them at the store but i did take apart a valve that looks very similar to the diagram you just posted. the threads holding it to the body are very fine and other than epoxy i could not use it in a typical piston valve unless i epoxi...

The pipe is rated with a high safety factor. i dont know any acual numbers but to be legal to sell the pipe has to have a pretty good saftey factor. due to PVC's less than favorable failure properties i would assume that it is made with an even higher saftey factor than say a copper pipe. remember ...

Wait... what do I see...? ...push-to-connect fittings and tubes ? no you do not, those are compression fittings on plastic tube, it was easier for me to go with compression instead of push to connect. as for fill time i havent timed it but its not too quick  and since i have a shop...

2. It is so large that you will risk damaging the compressor due to overheating. The picture shows you have no cooling system. The longer it runs, the hotter it will get my tank seems to be about the same size and i use a much smaller compressor. he will be just fine with his <a href="http://s696.p...

only thing i see is that since the cleaner is a solvent is that it could soften the pvc, but the solvent should evaporate completly in like 24 hours leaving the pvc back to normal.

other than that it sounds like a great alterative to spray paint

use a good bumper, build it correctly, dont drop it, and glue it correctly. it shouldnt fail. pvc does have it limitations, design the launcher correctly and you can overcome those limitations. the expanding air will not cuase the barrel to break from the cold, flexing will. i use a 10ft THIN wall b...
