Cut a slit in a length of 1/2'' PVC, then that will open slightly larger, side it over the cpvc and keep the cut side of the pvp opposite of the breech.

always works for me.

Nerf darts require so little air, this will work just fine.

its actually a large tank of nitrogen, a 2'' ball valve, the projectile is a piston moving the car.

Unsurprisingly, I concur. Though I don't know if eBay slide valves can take 300 psi without leaking, unless you go for the paintball ones. Not in my experience. I have used one at 200psi, and it developed a small leak. Also starts to get very hard to actuate at anything over 150 psi. no experience ...

also, a 3'' dome end cap fits in 4'' schedule 40 PVC perfectly, and i have used one with some success. Just bolt a big steel washer, and a rubber gasket into the inside of the dome, and you have a perfect piston for a 3'' porting cannon made in a 4'' T. just be sure to use an really good bumper. i u...

My worry is that it would not be picked up by the gasses at all.
maybe i don't quite understand the physics, but is this not exactly how cloud BBMGs work?

i suppose cloud chambers have more time to allow the air to act on the BB... but the concept is the same right? Bernoulli principle?

Nice, I had missed this! Needs some better projectiles though ;) Any relatively cheap ideas? I would love to shoot something with more penetration power. (oh god.... here come the jokes.) EDIT: in the second video, you can see the projectile i was shooting, in the first set of damage pics. It is a ...

1,000 ci is typical for a tank of that type. My scuba tank is 1,085 ci.

Ahh, ty. In my edited post above, i did the math. 1000 ci seems to be correct.
