Re: "In the world of spuds today"
Thanks JSR! I didn’t expect anyone outside these hallowed halls to see it, but the single random commenter gave me a little bit of hope. In the “decline” of this site’s activity, I think socially minded image hosting sites like imgur may be a helpful resource to draw in some curious new members. I a...

Re: "In the world of spuds today"
I haven’t been active in a while, but I’m still here! Decided to throw together a simple, efficient, and solid launcher for old times sake. https://imgur.com/gallery/Rh9HwLA I’ve also just purchased a lulzbot mini for some 3d printing projects for my other hobbies, but I hope to find some more “dest...

Very cool,
Do you have a link for where you got that co2 regulator?

Re: Noise cannon for RC planes
I've been messing around with those Venturi nozzles for hybrid fueling, and I think I've got an idea to at least help your rate of fire issue a little bit. If recommend finding or making a very high flow Venturi nozzle and suitably sized "initiator tube" with a constant spark inside (like a taser ci...

DIY Electric Bike Conversion
So I've got some free time this summer, and I wanted to make an upgrade to my worn out mountain bike: So basically, I usually only use it between classes or on smooth pavement around town (ranges less than 5 miles generally) so I wanted to try my hand at a cheap and effective modification to convert...

Re: Pneumatic Golf Ball Gun
Very cool rendering and very creative design! ...but, I think you are definitely over complicating things. I recently made a golfball gun for a family friend to replace his driver (which he can no longer hit due to a recent procedure) and even with a 1" by 10" chamber feeding a 3/4" QEV to a 24" bar...

Re: Backpack air supply project.
If you're having issues with low-flow from the regulator, why don't you put a small accumulation tank between the regulator and the gun?

Re: Arduino Start-Up
Exactly, I've had about a month of playing around with some components at school, but I want to be familiar with what range of things I can realistically accomplish with the board so that I can zero-in on what sorts of things I really want to pursue with it. And until I get comfortable with it, I do...

Arduino Start-Up
Hey everybody, I've been away from hobby building for a little bit because I've been busy with school, but now that summer is just around the corner, I want to start with something new. In a beginner engineering program at my highschool, we started the basics of arduino. I really liked the projects ...

Re: $55 Co2 Rig
I bought one of these regulators a while back. I thought worst case scenario, I end up spending 20$ on a gauge and some braided hose, so I'd only be a few dollars out. Truth about these is, they cannot handle CO2 well at all; however, it has worked adequately with my HPA tank, so it's not a total ri...

Re: Air cannon for launching bait into surf
How often does it need to fire? It seems to me that a burst disk setup for a fixed launcher firing a heavy projectile would be ideal and very easy to make.

Re: "In the world of spuds today"
I think they're usually about 60$ new, but its a great deal either way!
Thanks for the compliment on the grips, I made them myself with polymer clay and tried to give a faux wood grain look to them.
