Re: Describe the ultimate potato cannon

I like this idea. I've yet to build a proper pneumatic. I actually like this idea a lot. It's simple yet has the benefit of the pump. When you say 2:1 you mean chamber to barrel ratio, correct? I would likely target a 200psi pressure for a pneumatic. I feel that should offer a reasonable and substa...

Re: Describe the ultimate potato cannon

A spud cannon that pays it's own way! Once that happens I prefer a pneumatic barrel sealing piston valve 2" or smaller with built in air compressor. As for the rest of the build 2:1 rule of thumb works well. Add on's would be but not limited to built in magazine for easy loading and less of it. Int...

Re: Magazine problem

I have tried similar and it will always happen like that, there is too much air just to launch one BB, it will try to launch the next one or two at a reduced velocity, so they just roll down the barrel. If you want semi auto you need to block the magazine tube somehow between each shot, that's the ...

Look in the mirror, tell us. What do you see? Someone who possesses at least the very minimal level of computer knowledge required to understand that OP's choice of OS has little or no bearing on the massive performance penalty imposed by this site's header. Tell us jrrdw, which specific characteri...

Re: I see we have a new skin …

Oh lord, nuff said... Really? You're really still clinging to that "my platform is better than your platform" bullshit? Grow up, man. I see now where things turned sour, I thought you was being sarcastic when you said you where using a "Hackintoshed". Which is why I replied as I did, I wasn't tryin...

Re: I see we have a new skin …

Are you running a upgraded version of windows 10 from 8.1? Are you also the one who had troubles registering a .OXC file trying to install GGDT? Nah, ain't no Windows here. Hackintoshed X220 Thinkpad. Core i5 at 2.5GHz with 16 GB of RAM, enough to do hardcore development and simulation work, brough...

Re: I see we have a new skin …

Now, I'm sure the new skin is all mobile-compliant, and all that, and I'm probably the only person in the entire world who doesn't do all their browsing via mobile phone, but could we possibly have a usable-on-relatively-low-powered-computer skin available? I'm fairly sure phpBB still has a usable ...

Re: Short question topic

They tell me from these sides that silicone can be used

Good multimeter leads are made from silicone and look at some of the voltages they can handle. Only thing is that a good set can get pricey.

Re: "In the world of spuds today"

Make sure your metal is really clean, 0.5" in all directions works well. A really good ground as well. Go slow, take your time, relax and practice... You'll get it.
